College Restaurants & Coffee Bars

The Chester, Ellesmere Port and Capenhurst Technology Campuses provide a breakfast service and good quality snacks, including sandwiches, baguettes, wraps, takeaway salads and jacket potatoes with various fillings.

If you have a special dietary need, please speak to the restaurant staff and they will do their best to help.

Counter services are available at peak times at all main campuses. When counter services are closed, you can use the vending machines that are located throughout the College.

The Bridge Bistro restaurant is located at our Chester Campus. It provides a varied range of dining experiences such as silver service, take away, bistro and gourmet extravaganzas. The restaurant operates lunch Tuesday - Friday and evening dinner Tuesday -Thursday during the week. Bookings can be made using the above telephone number.

We have a fitness suite at Ellesmere Port Campus plus access to the gym at Northgate Arena.

Northgate Arena Fitness Suite – Students are free to use the fitness suite once they have had an induction and can use the facilities during off peak times for a minimum charge of £2.50.  To book an induction please contact Northgate Arena’s reception on 01244 380444, please inform the receptionist that you are a WCC students.

Sports Events & Teams
There is a full programme of sports and fitness activities on offer to all West Cheshire College students and staff, both at recreational level and to a competitive standard with fixtures against other schools and colleges in regional competitions.

Hair & Beauty Treatments: 01244 670350

In the training salons at the Ellesmere Port Campus we provide a range of hair and beauty treatments such as aromatherapy, reflexology, massage, facials, manicures, make-up application, waxing and permanent hair removal (electrolysis). In our unisex hairdressing salons you can have a wash and blow dry, colour/tints, restyle, perm or even just a trim. The treatments are available by appointment only and at prices that are much less than you would pay on the high street.

We also offer gents barbering specialising in hair cutting, fashion cutting/styling using clippers or scissors.

We have many productions of plays, shows, exhibits and musical and dance performances throughout the year. Our students have an excellent reputation for their productions, so why not take time out to see one? Performances are advertised on posters and flyers throughout the College with ticket details and times.

Art, Design & Media Exhibitions: 01244 670417

Come and view the end-of-year exhibitions, starting in June to see the very best work from our students on display. The show is held in the Art and Design studios at the Ellesmere Port Campus. Entrance is free.

Fashion Show: 01244 670417

Come and view the most stylish collections created by our fashion and clothing students. You'll get a catwalk preview of both sophisticated and experimental designs. The Fashion Show takes place annually in June. Be sure to look out for more information!

Health Zone

The Health Zone is a confidential advice service which  opens between 12 and 2pm every Wednesday at Chester in C1 and Ellesmere Port Community Room .
