In each Learning Centre, the Issue Desk is your main point of contact. Here you can borrow, return and reserve library materials and make enquiries.

Each curriculum area has a named subject librarian who works with the tutors to make sure that we have the resources that students need, and also that students are fully introduced to what there is and how to access it.

The Learning Centres provide inductions on how to access and use the network, give more detailed support to new IT users, troubleshoot operating problems, help with scanning and colour printing, and a range of other services.

To help you further, there are a range of helpful IT User Guides.

Inductions – at the beginning of your course, you will be issued with a learning resources photo card and introduced to the resources through a learning resources workshop . When you are starting your first major assignments you may come back for a more detailed subject specific induction to the resources and in particular to the online library. These sessions will help you to make the most of our services and give you confidence in being able to make full use of the resources on hand. Tutors can download the induction booking forms here.
